Welcome

A centre where your child is known by name

Ooralea Education and Care Centre is a welcoming early childhood service offering quality learning and warm care in a supportive, inclusive environment.

Children, families and educators make up our community. Children are encouraged to play, explore and discover, with teaching that follows their interests.

Because our educators build genuine connections with children and families, each child develops a strong sense of belonging. Settling in feels calmer when the same familiar faces greet you at the door.

Why families trust us

Long-serving educators and a serious approach to child safety

We are proud to have two educators who have been with our service for more than 10 years, along with many other educators who have been part of our team for over 3 to 5 years.

Consistency children can feel

Retaining experienced educators gives children and families consistency, familiarity and trusting relationships. Children connect with regular educators who know them well and are responsible for their learning group.

Experienced teacher leadership

Our service has an experienced Early Childhood Teacher providing leadership, mentoring and educational expertise to support quality outcomes for children.

Qualified and checked

All educators hold a current Queensland Blue Card, and at all times there are educators on duty with current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications.

Information for families

Child safety is embedded in everyday practice

We embed the National Principles for Child Safe Organisations and the Queensland 10 Child Safe Standards into our everyday practices and decision-making. Our service adopts the National Model Code for Taking Images or Videos of Children, so photographs and videos are captured, stored and shared responsibly.

We also maintain a strict No Personal Devices policy. Personal mobile phones and other electronic devices are prohibited in all areas where children are present, and this applies to educators, contractors, families and visitors.
