Learning and programs for children 0 to 5

Educational, play-based programs guided by the Early Years Learning Framework and tailored to each child's interests and development.

Our curriculum

Children lead their own learning

We create engaging, play-based experiences inspired by children's interests, ideas, curiosity and imagination.

Children actively participate, explore, problem-solve and develop confidence in their abilities. Educators take the time to observe, listen and understand each child's individual strengths, interests and developmental needs.

These observations guide our planning, so learning experiences stay meaningful, responsive and connected to what each child is working on.

Guided by the Early Years Learning Framework, we cover the whole child, with a strong focus on communication, language, early literacy and numeracy, creativity, physical development, and social and emotional wellbeing.

How learning happens

Play is the method, not the break from it

Observe and respond

Educators watch closely and plan next steps around what each child is working on.

Explore and problem-solve

Hands-on experiences invite children to test ideas, make choices and build persistence.

Create and communicate

Language, early literacy, numeracy and creativity are woven through everyday play.

Extra experiences

Programs that extend the day

Alongside the daily program, children take part in experiences that build movement skills and a connection with nature.

Active Squirts

Our Active Squirts program gives children opportunities to develop movement skills, confidence, coordination and a love of being active.

Bush Kindy at nearby botanical gardens

Bush Kindy experiences encourage children to connect with nature, develop environmental awareness and explore the world around them.

School Readiness Program

Our comprehensive School Readiness Program supports children's transition to school through experiences that build confidence, independence, communication, social skills, literacy, numeracy, science, physical development and emotional wellbeing.

If your child is heading to school soon, our funded Queensland Kindergarten Program in the Young Investigators room is delivered by a qualified early childhood teacher.
